How can I connect digital sources directly to the EDGE A?

The EDGE A was designed to work with digital sources from the outset so has a high quality DAC digital to analogue converter built in. Every component in the Edge Series has been selected for its sonic merit through blind auditions. So whether it’s music from your TV or your network streaming device, it all gets passed through the EDGE DAC to deliver undiscovered layers of detail and a highly transparent superlative sound-staging.

Digital connections are in the form of S/PDIF co-axial and TOSLINK digital inputs.

Coaxial – Use a high quality 75 ohm digital RCA Phono interconnect cable (not one designed for normal audio use). This input is suitable for 16-24 bit content up to 192kHz.

TOSLINK Optical – Use a high quality TOSLINK fibre optic interconnect cable designed specifically for audio use. This input is suitable for 16-24 bit content up to 96kHz (TOSLINK is not recommended at 192kHz sampling rates).
