When first launching Melomania and passing the ‘Get Started’ pages you will notice that the app will display the following prompts:
Allow Melomania to make and manage phone calls? (this will allow you to ‘Deny’ or ‘Allow’)
Use Your Location (this will give you the option to ‘Allow’ or ‘No, thanks’)
Accepting the use of location will cause a white box to appear, this will be to confirm ‘Allow Melomania to access this device’s location?' (this will allow you to ‘Deny’ or ‘Allow’.)
Denying the use of location will not allow access to the Find My Earphones feature as this requires access to your device’s GPS.
If permission is denied to both (or just phone calls) of the above settings, your device will send prompts when launching and re-entering Melomania. The message will read: ‘Permissions required. Please allow permission of Phone to use Find My Earphones’. With the options of ‘No’ and ‘Go to settings’.
Pressing Find my Earphones with the location permission OFF will trigger the following message: ‘No Record There is no previous Bluetooth disconnection record.’
The best way to fix this is to allow Telephone and Location permission, this can be done in two different ways.
Manually go into your device settings and select it this way. This is done by the following:
Toggle ‘Locations’ and ‘Telephone’ ON
Or alternatively, follow your device prompts to your settings and allow calls and location services to be used with the app. This method will bring directly to point 3. above.
After this process is complete, you will notice the prompts will no longer appear. And you will be able to use Find Your Earphones.
When first launching Melomania and passing the ‘Get Started’ pages, you will notice that the app will display the following message: ‘Allow “Melomania” to use your location? Please allow usage of the location to find earphones’, the options that you will be presented with will be as follows:
Allow While Using App
Selecting “Don’t Allow” will mean that your current location will not be used by your iOS devices built-in GPS. As a result, when selecting Find My Earphones you will receive a message reading: ‘No GPS Please turn on Location and allow permission of Location to use Find My Earphones.’ With the options ‘OK’ and ‘Go to Location’.
If you later wish to turn location ON, please follow the steps below:
Alternatively, you can press Find My Earphones, which will activate a prompt giving you the option to remain. To deny permission to use your location or ‘Go to Location’ which will bring you to point 3. above.
You will then have access to Find My Earphones.
